5And the HOMOSEXUALS said unto him, where are the men which came to you tonight? for though they were angels, they appeared like men, and they seemed to be so to them who saw them go into Lot's house

10Despite absurd claims to the contrary in both incidents, the "knowledge" sought here is not curiosity or friendliness. The men of Sodom demonstrate their wickedness in the most grotesque and obvious way possible. They demand for Lot to send the strangers out, so they may "know" them. This language is a commonly-used Hebrew euphemism for

The expression on their own testifies against them, for which they are branded, see Isaiah 3:9; and this intention of theirs is the more probable, because of the great beauty which it is likely because it was those bodies which the angels had that were perfect and made by God

3Those FLESHLY, which excited the lust of the Sodomites, caused them to assault Lot's house with shameful cries. Bring them out unto us, that we may “know them”

4Meanwhile at another location. Now the “sons of worthlessness,” as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of ______, beset the house roundabout, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.
